Almost 90% of UK homes risk overheating by 2050

Millions could face stronger floods, water shortages and deadly heat as Britain struggles with rising temperatures linked to global heating. A report published on Wednesday by the Climate Change Committee said the country was designed for weather conditions that no longer exist and needs urgent changes to cope. Officials warned heat deaths could reach 10,000 yearly by 2050, while almost 90% of homes risk overheating.
