Reeves aims no new taxes before next budget.
Households and firms may avoid extra tax costs before the next budget if current plans stay on track. Speaking in London on Tuesday, Britain's finance minister Rachel Reeves said she wants to reach the next budget without raising taxes and said the government has enough room in its finances to cope with economic shocks. She also pointed to higher defence spending before a NATO summit in July.
