US strikes Iran after Guard Corps closes Strait of Hormuz
US forces launched new strikes against Iran on Saturday after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked a container ship. The Guard Corps said it hit the Cyprus-flagged M/V GFS Galaxy because it was on an unapproved route, leaving a crew member missing. Iran's Guard Corps then closed the Strait of Hormuz, a key shipping route, until the US stops interfering in the region.
