Israel and Lebanon sign US-backed peace deal

Israel and Lebanon have signed a framework agreement with the US to try and end their long-running conflict, which America’s top diplomat called a vital first step. The deal establishes a Military Coordination Group for Lebanon, and the US will give $100 million in aid immediately.
