Orbán's 16-year rule in Hungary ends after defeat
With Hungary's economy in a deep slump, the new government faces urgent challenges. Péter Magyar and his Tisza party defeated Viktor Orbán last Sunday, winning 52% of the vote and ending 16 years of his party's continuous rule. Magyar plans to retroactively limit a prime minister's terms to two, and has discussed €17bn in withheld EU funds with officials.
