Mohamad Safa quits UN, alleges nuclear weapon preparation.
Mohamad Safa, head of an NGO with UN consultative status, suspended his duties after nearly twelve years, alleging the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran. He said he sacrificed his position to publicise the claim. The UN has not confirmed his allegations. Tehran, Iran's capital, is home to nearly 10 million people.
