Nottingham Uni data hack exposes thousands of passports
The major cyber-attack on the University of Nottingham exposed a significant amount of student and alumni data. A criminal group called ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for the attack on 10 June, which likely happened via a third-party supplier. Experts warn that the exposed data, including "tens of thousands" of passport numbers, could lead to identity theft.
