Passport prices rising by up to £17.50 from this month
The cost of getting a UK passport is going up in April, with increases of up to £17.50 on some applications. Millions of people are missing out on cheaper ways to apply, according to MoneySavingExpert, which has published three tips for cutting the cost of renewals. The rise lands alongside council tax, water, broadband and energy bill changes all taking effect at once.
