37C heatwave warning expanded for UK

The Met Office has expanded its amber extreme heat warning for Monday and Tuesday, with widespread impacts expected on people and infrastructure. Forecasts suggest temperatures could reach 36 or 37C in parts of the UK, with some areas seeing over 30C for six or seven consecutive days. This is only the sixth amber warning issued since 2021, and the first since August 2022.
