Nationwide CEO gets £4.7m as customer profits fall

Customers at Britain’s biggest building society saw profits fall, even as rewards continued through member payments. Nationwide reported that chief executive Debbie Crosbie received total remuneration of £4.67m for the year to 31 March 2026, following the integration of Virgin Money. Her package included a first long-term performance award worth £1.46m, while pre-tax profit came in at £1.49bn after customer distributions.
