Saudi Arabia's 500 million roses: Can its growth last?
Saudi Arabia’s rose sector has recorded over 15% growth in annual production, driven by increasing global demand. Centered in Taif, around 700 hectares of farms produce nearly 500 million roses each year, supporting small-scale farmers. Government-backed programs like Saudi Reef have boosted the industry through funding, training, and marketing support. Despite progress, challenges remain, including limited research and weak cooperative structures.
