$900 Million a Day: The Shocking Cost of the First Days of War With Iran
A new analysis by the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies estimates that the United States spent about $3.7 billion within the first 100 hours of its military campaign against Iran. The huge cost nearly $900 million per day is largely driven by the heavy use of advanced munitions and air operations. Researchers say most of the spending was not included in the existing defense budget, meaning the Pentagon may soon need additional funding from Congress as the conflict continues.
