Pubs more optimistic after PM Burnham's help, but want more tax cuts

About 37% of hospitality businesses now feel Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s government will benefit their sector. This figure exceeds twice the 18% observed prior to a business rates discount being applied to pubs and venues. Trade bodies say tax, especially VAT, remains the biggest barrier, calling for a cut from 20% to 10%.
