Seventeen killed in Gaza strikes after Israeli soldier wounded
Israeli forces launched multiple assaults across the Gaza Strip overnight and into Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of at least 18 Palestinians, including a young child, according to local health officials and humanitarian sources. The attacks struck residential districts and other areas of the densely populated enclave amid ongoing conflict. Medical teams and aid groups reported casualties and injuries as emergency services worked through the night. The Red Crescent said plans to evacuate patients through the Rafah crossing were cancelled due to the violence.
