Google told to share Android with ChatGPT and Claude
Brussels has fired its biggest shot yet at Google's mobile dominance. The European Commission's preliminary findings on Monday demand that rival AI services get the same deep Android access enjoyed by Gemini, including custom wake words and access to apps and hardware. Google called the move "unwarranted intervention", with a final ruling due in late July and fines of up to 10% of global revenue if the company fails to comply.
