Resident doctors accept pay deal, NHS strikes end
The decision ends strike action that has cost the NHS £1 billion since last summer. Resident doctors in England, represented by the British Medical Association, voted to accept a new government offer on pay and jobs. The package includes an average 6.6% pay rise by April 2027 and 4,500 extra specialty training places.
