EU tells members to find new jet fuel sources

European airlines have warned of jet fuel shortages within weeks, with potential flight cancellations threatening the summer travel season. Next week, the EU will urge member states to cut reliance on Middle Eastern supplies and explore importing more fuel from the US. Europe currently imports 30% to 40% of its jet fuel, at least half of which comes from the Middle East.
