Brent Crude Nears $120 Amid Iran Supply Worries
The Asia Pacific region faces higher fuel and basic good costs, with its growth outlook cut from 5.1% to 4.7% this year. Oil prices rose over 6% on Wednesday, driven by fears of Hormuz Strait disruption and a US siege on Iranian ports. This follows two months of US-Israel war. Brent crude futures for June hit $119.94 per barrel on Thursday, its highest level since June 2022.
