Iran's new supreme leader could be named within 24 hours
Assembly of Experts member Hossein Mozafari said on Saturday that the body would meet within the next 24 hours to choose Iran's next supreme leader, according to Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the IRGC. The statement came a week after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes. Mozafari urged Iranians to stop spreading speculation about the outcome before the assembly had convened.
