Piastri tops practice, Red Bull cars suffer damage.
Oscar Piastri secured the fastest time in Friday’s second practice, finishing marginally ahead of Mercedes teammates Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. While the McLaren showed strong pace, Lando Norris was relegated to seventh following precautionary gearbox evaluations. Red Bull’s afternoon was compromised by mechanical issues; Max Verstappen sustained floor damage during a gravel excursion, and Sergio Perez halted on-track due to a hydraulic leak. Officials are also examining a pit-lane encounter between Russell and rookie Arvid Lindblad.
