Meta AI uses public Instagram photos without consent.
Meta's new AI tool, Muse Image, has drawn criticism because it can generate images by utilising public Instagram profile pictures without obtaining explicit consent. Users can opt out through Instagram's settings, but privacy advocates call it an "obvious recipe for disaster." The tool is available on Meta AI, WhatsApp, and Instagram Stories for US users, with plans to expand to Facebook and Messenger.
