Britain wants cheaper electricity prices soon
British households could see more stable electricity bills under a new government plan aiming to protect consumers from energy price shocks. The government will announce plans on Tuesday to weaken the link between electricity and volatile gas prices. This would shift about one-third of Britain's electricity generation from older clean energy projects onto fixed-price contracts.
