Reeves plans to speed up power plant building
New reforms are expected to reinforce the UK’s energy security and help drive down consumer bills. Chancellor Rachel Reeves will give Parliament authority to approve critical clean energy schemes, like wind farms and nuclear power. Such changes reduce judicial review exposure for these projects, except on human rights grounds, and introduce a fixed legal challenge window for other infrastructure.
