X accepts UK rules on hate posts
British users could see faster action against illegal material after social media platform X agreed to tighter moderation standards. Ofcom said on Friday that X will review reported hate speech and militant content within an average of 24 hours and assess at least 85% within 48 hours. The company also promised quarterly reports and limits on UK access to accounts linked to banned groups.
