EU lawmakers want FIFA boss probed over Trump's Balogun intervention
Dozens of European Parliament lawmakers are seeking an investigation into FIFA boss Gianni Infantino after he lifted a red card suspension for US striker Folarin Balogun. The decision followed an intervention from US President Donald Trump, which lawmakers called a "disgrace and a perversion of justice". They are asking national football associations to urge the FIFA Ethics Committee to investigate Infantino's political neutrality.
