London Cancer Hub Wins Planning Approval Creating 3,000 New Skilled Jobs

Planning permission has been granted for a major expansion of the London Cancer Hub in Sutton, adding 12 acres of new laboratory and research space. The development is expected to create 3,000 jobs, the majority in high-skilled research and life sciences manufacturing. When the full district is complete, it will support around 13,000 jobs and contribute an estimated £1.2 billion to the UK economy. The hub is already home to The Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
