Students Face Immediate Repayment Bills Worth Thousands
Around 22,000 students face demands for immediate repayment of maintenance loans and childcare grants, causing significant financial distress. The Student Loans Company says weekend courses were never eligible for this support, blaming incorrect information provided by universities. Among those affected is Khawaja Ahsan, who could owe £14,335. The National Union of Students has launched a campaign opposing the repayments.
