Boots owners consider £7.5bn private sale

Fewer companies may join the London stock market if plans for a public share sale don't go ahead. Sycamore Partners, which bought Walgreens Boots Alliance for $23.7bn last year, has held discussions with possible buyers including the Weston family and Australia's Sigma Healthcare, according to reports. Boots runs more than 1,800 stores across Britain, while an earlier stock market option was said to value the chain at about £7bn.
