Coventry Airport closes: A battery plant rises from its runways

Coventry Airport is officially closing its doors this week, making way for a new Green Power Park development. The airport stopped all flights on May 9, and the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed its formal shutdown for June 11. The site, which opened in 1936, will host seven manufacturing facilities, including a substantial battery plant.
