Aston Martin set for early exit at Australian Grand Prix amid engine concerns
The Aston Martin F1 Team is expected to pull its cars from the Australian Grand Prix shortly after the start following major reliability concerns linked to its new Honda power unit. The Silverstone outfit suffered repeated battery malfunctions during pre-season testing, blamed on severe engine vibrations. To comply with contractual requirements, both drivers will participate in qualifying and start the race before a planned retirement, given ongoing efforts by engineers to resolve the underlying problems.
