You can now change your Gmail address in Google

Ordinary people can now update their Google usernames, which was a long-awaited feature. Google is rolling out this new ability for US account holders, letting them switch their address before '@gmail.com'. Users can alter their address once yearly, up to three times, retaining all their existing emails and data.
