Man United face £15.9m bill for sacking Amorim
Manchester United have disclosed via a New York Stock Exchange filing that dismissing Ruben Amorim on 5 January could cost up to £15.9 million in settlement payments to him and his coaching staff. A further £6.3 million has been written off, relating to the fee originally paid to sign Amorim from Sporting Lisbon in November 2024. Amorim's 14-month reign ended after a public row with United's hierarchy, with Michael Carrick subsequently appointed interim head coach.
