Ryanair flight leaves 50 passengers behind in Athens
Travellers faced long waits and some missed their journey home after hold-ups at airport checks in Greece. On Sunday, a Ryanair service from Athens to London Luton departed without a group of passengers who did not reach boarding before the gate closed. Reports put the number left behind at between 20 and 50 people, while the aircraft left about an hour later after baggage was removed.
