NHS staff get AI to free up patient time

NHS staff get AI to free up patient time

NHS staff are getting new AI tools to help with admin tasks, which means they'll have more time to spend looking after patients. NHS England is rolling out Microsoft 365 Copilot to 505,000 staff, both clinical and support, by October 2026. A trial with 30,000 NHS workers found the AI assistant saved staff an average of 43 minutes every day.
