Two Tory MPs join Reform UK party

Conservative MPs Andrew Rosindell and Robert Jenrick have defected to Reform UK, increasing the party's total number of MPs to seven. Rosindell, the MP for Romford, resigned as shadow foreign office minister, citing the Conservative Party's failures. Jenrick's move followed his dismissal from the Conservative Party. Leader Kemi Badenoch downplayed the defections, stating that Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is doing her “spring cleaning”. Danny Kruger also defected to Reform UK in September 2025.
