5.8 million people could pay less loan interest
Conservative head Kemi Badenoch wants to lower borrowing charges for individuals who received university funding from 2012 until 2023. The recently announced proposal restricts added fees exclusively to the Retail Prices Index, sitting right now at 3.8 percent. This adjustment intends to help nearly 5.8 million borrowers clear their academic debts more easily. Following these remarks, government minister Bridget Phillipson stated her team is independently reviewing the broader repayment framework.
