Liverpool's Endo out of World Cup with injury

Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo has pulled out of Japan's World Cup squad just hours before the tournament starts. He's had a foot injury since February and, despite playing a friendly recently, suffered a setback in training. Borussia Mönchengladbach's Shuto Machino will replace him, and Endo has also retired from international football.
