Senate confirms Warsh as Federal Reserve chief at US Central Bank
The economy Kevin Warsh will now lead faces persistent inflation, which is presently at a three-year high. Senators confirmed him as the next Federal Reserve chair on Wednesday afternoon, with a 54-45 vote, just before Jerome Powell's time in the role runs out. He served on the central bank's board of governors previously, from 2006 to 2011.
