Reform asks steel bosses for alternative industry plan
Steel policy is becoming a live election issue in traditional Labour areas before local votes on 7 May. The Guardian reported that Reform UK asked industry leaders to draft an alternative strategy opposing the government’s current approach. Richard Tice met steel figures to discuss lower business energy bills, maintaining virgin steel-making capacity and abandoning net zero policies.
