Brexit trade deals hitting UK farmers hard
New trade deals after Brexit have cut prices for British farmers, with one Wiltshire farmer losing about £400 per beef animal. Exports of farmed produce to the EU, Britain's biggest market, have fallen by nearly half in quantity and 35% in value. Farmers say the changes to trade policy and subsidies mean British food may disappear from mainstream supermarkets.
