20,000 Lufthansa flights cancelled, other airlines affected
Travellers might face changes to their plans as many airlines serving the UK are operating fewer flights and increasing charges. Lufthansa has disclosed its intention to decrease its schedule by 20,000 short-distance European flights this summer, a decision that aligns with service reductions also being implemented by other airlines such as Air Canada and Delta. Jet fuel prices have doubled since the Middle East conflict began, with the European benchmark reaching $1,838 per tonne in April.
