Buildings collapse in Caracas after strong Venezuela quake
The shallow quake brought down buildings in Caracas and triggered tsunami warnings across the southern Caribbean, with injuries reported in the capital. The US Geological Survey put the larger quake at a preliminary 7.5, striking near Morón on Wednesday, west of Caracas. It came seconds after a strong foreshock, and authorities reported collapsed buildings and injuries, with the full toll still unknown.
