Royal Marines board Russian oil tanker in Channel

British Royal Marines carried out the first operation of its kind, boarding a Russian shadow fleet oil tanker in the English Channel. Commandos, with National Crime Agency officers, boarded the vessel Smyrtos in a six-hour operation early on Sunday. The tanker, which sails under a Cameroon flag, will now be held and monitored off the south coast of England.
