William wanted Andrew out of succession in autumn 2025
The Prince of Wales pushed for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to be removed from the line of succession last autumn, when his titles were also stripped, according to The Sunday Times. William is now reported to be frustrated the matter was not resolved at that time, with government sources saying the process could take years and will not begin until the police investigation concludes. Andrew, currently eighth in line to the throne, was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office. A recent poll found 82% of Britons support his removal from the succession.
