Tehran residents flee, some welcome blasts to end rule
Loud blasts occurred across the country at 09:40 local time, prompting citizens to leave the capital or queue for petrol. While videos displayed panic, some locals welcomed the attacks, viewing military intervention as necessary to end the current rule. An almost total internet blackout hampered communication, yet witnesses using satellite links reported heavy security presence near the Supreme Leader’s compound.
