Two arrested at RAF Lakenheath anti-war protest

Suffolk Police arrested two people on suspicion of obstructing a public highway during a blockade at RAF Lakenheath on Saturday. More than a hundred protesters joined a peace camp outside the base’s main gate, following reports that the US F-15E shot down over Iran had taken off from Lakenheath. Organiser Peter Lux said UK bases hosting American aircraft needed to be held ‘accountable.’
