29 People Affected in Kent Meningitis Outbreak
Public health concern has grown after a meningitis outbreak in Kent tragically killed two people, prompting a vaccine review. The UK Health Security Agency got its first report on 13 March, with 29 individuals now affected following a large infection event at a Canterbury nightclub. Health Secretary Wes Streeting requested a MenB vaccine review; 10,000 people received antibiotics.
