44-Year-Old Serena Williams Beaten In Wimbledon Comeback

Her long-awaited return to top-level tennis ended after just one match. Serena Williams, playing her first singles match in almost four years, lost to 20-year-old Australian Maya Joint 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 in the first round on Tuesday. It was Williams' first appearance on Centre Court in 1,397 days, and she remains in the tournament for doubles with her sister Venus.
