Iran strikes two UAE tankers in Strait of Hormuz
The US launched a third night of strikes against Iran on Monday, with two Emirati oil tankers hit by Iranian cruise missiles in Omani waters. One crew member died and eight were hurt in the attacks, which happened after Donald Trump said the US would reinstate its blockade of Iranian shipping. Oil prices rose 2% to a four-week high due to uncertainty over energy flows through the strait.
