Castlelake Considers Buying EasyJet Before June Deadline

Holidaymakers and investors could see changes at the airline if ownership plans move forward. US investment firm Castlelake said on Friday it was weighing a possible offer for EasyJet but hasn’t contacted the carrier’s board, and stressed a deal isn’t certain. UK takeover rules give the Minneapolis-based group, which manages $36bn in assets, until 26 June to decide its next step.
